MEET ME AT THE DURNING HOUSE
If you eat lunch on a Tuesday, you will surely see Laura enjoying her “bubba” food. She has been one of our delightful supporters since she moved here 5 years ago.
A California girl, Laura received her MBA after majoring in English. After working in Dallas for TI she and husband Don, longed for the country life.
They bought a ranch close to Van Alstyne and lovingly care for their Southdown sheep and 4 dogs.
I first met Laura while searching for a web designer. When I walked into her office I was embraced by her field of energy and I knew I wanted her on my team.
Her company is Sheep Boutique Web Marketing. She does “old school” marketing, press releases, ads, postcards…whatever will bring customers in the door or make the phone ring.
She recently purchased an historic building in downtown Van Alstyne and has spent months beautifully restoring it.
Her passion for Van Alstyne and its economic growth stands at the forefront of her goals. After working with her on civic committees and various events, I am in awe of her commitment and dedication to the improvement, growth, and quality of life and business in V.A. “We are blessed with an ideal location, but I believe we have the mix of people, talent, and respect for historic buildings that we don’t have to be just another boring suburb of Dallas.” she said.
Laura is smart and sassy (in a good way) and is focused on helping others attain their goals. Her honesty is refreshing. We are delighted and blessed to have her as a fellow business owner and customer.
Besides she loves our chocolate cake!
